I have been to multiple facilities and hands down this was the nicest facility across the board! I spent 6 days in detox and 57 days in patient. I was so comfortable with the staff and fellow residents I did not want to leave. They staff has continued to follow up with me after my discharge. I find this to be extremely valuable in my recovery. By the grace of god I will have 3yrs in February. Thank You Recovery Village!!!
After lots of research, I chose The Recovery Village for a close family member 's path to recovery. I am so glad I did- the care and treatment exceeded my expectations. My loved one was given the tools he needed to be successful for the long term and has maintained sobriety for more than 3 years.
I have a loved one that decided that they didn't want to continue that path. After speaking with a lot of facilities and doing our homework, Umatilla .offered so much more than 98% of my loved ones needs. Yes! They are strict. They do not allow things..so far, my relative looks good, feels better. It has only been a few weeks . I couldn't be happier. They help give them the tools to get better, stay better and they communicate with .Me a lot. For those disgruntled addicts, I haven seen a money problem, racism , or mistreatment. We have a long way to go still but; it truly is about helping . my loved one seems happy. If you left before it was necessary ...then I believe that addicts sit down and get angry. Stick it out.
I was a patient at TRV during June and July of 2015 and i will confidentiality say, if it wasn't for this facility and the people that are overseeing it, i would not be sober today....plain and simple. Every addict enters treatment in a total fog and it must be expected that the initial recovery is a long process and does not end once you get out of detox, or even the programs they have to offer. I found that most of the people working at TRV truly cared about the client and the structured schedule they offer is incredibly beneficial in the long term as i have learned concepts and tools that have allowed me to be very aware of my triggers to this day. To complain about waking up too early, not enough usage of the pool or that the food wasn't up to par are just excuses in not putting forth your best effort to beat this disease. The nurses, technicians (Big John and Dave), case managers and all the therapists are incredibly knowledgeable and caring individuals who work relentlessly. That is the truth! I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for help with a substance abuse problem because i am now living a life i would have never imagined before TRV. **UPDATE 7/19/2018**: I still owe my life to this place- 3 PLUS YEARS AND GOING!!!
I was at TRV for much more than 30 days through my own volition. I can say they saved my life! Does the "call center" exaggerate? Probably. But when they talk to you they are evaluating...and they get you there! Some of the furnishings need updating. More outdoor time should be planned...my God it's Florida! Detox was amazing. A male tech, Robert, took my vitals every hour. There are restrictons and rules which are necessary...it's a rehab! Without those it would be a bad spa. Some of the nursing staff are exemplary...there were two who ignored me when I had a medication reaction. One of these nurses spent her entire time on her phone while med passing. The therapists are fantastic and diverse in their approaches. Some of the BHTs are amazing. Particularly those who are recovering themselves. A few BHTs are disrespectful to older clients. The equine therapy is wonderful. I highly recommend this facility to those who come out of their OWN desire to recover.
The Recovery Village was an amazing experience for me! It saved my life! For that I am forever grateful!
I visited this facility recently and was blown away by how nice it was! The accommodations are spacious and include a large cafeteria/rec room, a gym, and even an art room. The staff were very professional and committed to the safety and wellbeing of their patients. I would recommend to anyone seeking help with addiction.
I stayed at The Recovery Village in Umatilla for 70 days and had a wonderful experience. There was equine therapy, canine therapy, and art therapy. The other classes were very informative, and most of the therapists are very skilled in their profession! The food was nice (there’s even steak sometimes) and most of the staff is friendly and accommodating. I do wish to say, though, that the call center (which is separate from the facility) needs to be cracked down on. They misrepresent costs sometimes and say anything to get you into the rehab. They have good intentions, they’re trying to save lives, but they need to be more transparent. Overall, it’s a wonderful facility. As long as you follow the guidelines and behave well, your stay will be extremely beneficial to your recovery. Having completed the program, I have continued on to their aftercare program in sober living (The Next Step Village) and am enjoying every moment. All the girls in the house are kind and I feel more confident in myself than ever! Make that call and admit yourself, it’s worth it.
When I first went to treatment I didn't know what to expect. I only knew that I needed help. Recovery Village made me feel comfortable during my detox process and when I transferred to the residential side continued my care with great groups and supportive staff. I have kept in touch with both clients and staff alike over the past 2 years because this place touched my heart that much.

Extremely grateful for my experience. Wonderful staff, structure, and aftercare. TRV opened my eyes and their aftercare program showed me how to live.
I had the pleasure of visiting this facility and it is beautiful. The staff is caring and friendly and really want to help.
This place is number one on my books great staff and therapists. This place saved my life
Jared, the Community Outreach Associate, located in our area is wonderful to work with. He is always willing to help and brings great knowledge and professionalism. We are very thankful to have him in our area.
I had the pleasure of visiting this facility in Umatilla, FL and was blown away by how inviting and beautiful it was. Not only were the staff knowledgeable about all things addiction but the building included TVs in the detox rooms, an outdoor pool, equine therapy (the staff at the barn were amazing), and a massive group game room/couches... Would recommend to anyone struggling with addiction or other alcohol / drug abuse issues!
My experience at TRV was amazing! The staff and therapists are great!!! I recommend the Recovery Village for anyone with opiate or alcohol addiction!
Great experience with great people, staff and clients. Fun outings almost every weekend. Case manager goes above and beyond. There's no ICE... in paradISE!
I am so grateful for the time I spent at this facility. The staff and counselors are just amazing. I am truly impressed with how well run this place is and just the overall quality of employees is remarkable. Sure, just like any of the people that wrote a negative review on here, things didn't always go my way and sometimes I didn't agree with whatever. But it was those small things that helped me prepare for when I got out and the challenges and stakes were much higher. My time spent there was some of the most painstaking and rewarding work I've ever done whether in my professional life or not. They certainly won't solve all your problems and tuck you in at night, but they will give you all the tools and guidance you need so that you're able to achieve the life you want once you leave. This place and the people employed are nothing short of a blessing. I cannot express just how grateful I am to Cindy and the rest of the staff there at TRV.
I had such a wonderful experience at the recovery village. They were so attentive to me and my needs and everyone that works there genuinely cares about what they do. You can see it in the interactions they have with all of the patients, and with each other as a staff. I will recommend this place to anyone who is looking for help like I was.
The Recovery Village helped me work my way back to sobriety. As this was my first experience with rehab I wasn’t sure what to expect. The staff was awesome and seemed to really care about my recovery. Being in a place where people know what they’re doing and are invested in my success made all the difference. In recovery I was with others who were on the same journey, and being able to share in their experience helped me see I wasn’t alone. The most useful part were the classes and therapy that gave me tools to cope with the triggers and habits that fed my substance abuse. It was a great deal of work, but it has been a successful process. I’m thankful for the staff who helped me make it happen.
